Frequently Asked Questions

Below are frequently asked questions about addiction treatment at Valley Recovery Center. If you have additional questions about any of our services, please give us a call anytime.

Can I use my phone while I am in treatment?

While in treatment at Valley Recovery Center, we want you to be able to take the time to really focus on yourself! After you finish stabilization (the first five days), you will be able to use the house phone to call out at night (no calling card required!). So remember to write down any important numbers you may need during your stay with us.

What is stabilization?

Stabilization is the first 5 days of treatment at Valley Recovery Center, during that time we want to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible and settling in well in to your new surroundings, some people are in detox during that time and others are not. During these first 5 days, there is limited connection to anything outside the facility (ex: no phone calls, no outings etc).

Is there a place to work out?

Yes! While we do not have a gym on site, there are many opportunities to get exercise. There are yoga classes held twice a week at the facility, Tai Chi once a week, and we utilize a local gym for your use seven days a week as well. There are also occasionally walks scheduled!

Will I have access to a computer?

We have a client computer on site that the Clinical staff can give clients permission to use for urgent needs.

Is there visitation while I am in treatment?

Yes! We offer visitation for up to 3 people on Saturdays & Sundays between 1pm and 3pm with requests signed by your primary counselor the Thursday prior. Please be mindful that if you are on stabilization, you will have to wait until the following week when your stabilization is complete. We also ask that visitors not bring in any items (purses, cell phones, food etc.), items for clients can be checked in at the front desk.
