Detoxification

Detoxification is the process by which toxins are removed from a person’s body. Individuals will be assessed for the need for this process upon admission.

Detoxification from drugs, alcohol or both is usually the first step in the addiction recovery process. It is necessary to detox the body of all substances before beginning addiction treatment.

Withdrawal symptoms are to be expected, and depending on the severity of the situation, they can be painful and intense. In order to make clients feel as comfortable as possible, safe and appropriate medications are administered during detox.

Detoxification at Valley Recovery Center of California is supervised by our highly qualified onsite team of addiction professionals.  Specifically trained and licensed nurses are available 24 hours a day to provide compassionate and professional care.

We will help you every step of the way. Our Whole Person Care approach addresses the body, mind and spirit. With drug or alcohol addiction, the body must first be detoxified. We realize this is a scary step for many individuals. We will work with you to determine what type of substances are in your system to make sure you are properly detoxed as comfortably as possible. We will also work with you to address any behavioral issues you may need help with, such as any co-occurring disorders. We will listen to you and discuss your concerns in private. You will be under supervision during detoxification – you will not have to face this on your own. Addiction is a disease that can be treated. Recovery is possible. Let us help.
